The town Salobreña is in southern Spain on the Costa Tropical beach. It is a beautiful seaside village with excellent reastaurants, plenty of cafés and bars and the typical local spanish atmosphere.

The town is mainly built on a cliff. The part of the town, where it spreads from the old arab castle and down, is called the old town or casco antiguo in spanish.

Salobreña is the ideal vacation spot during the winter for those who enjoy staying by the sea but also want to go skiing, that is because of the short distance (c.a. one hour drive) to the Sierra Nevada mountains, which is popular place for winter sports.

There are plenty of golf courses in the area, around Almería, Granada and in the direction of Malaga. The nearest 18 hole golfcourse to Salobreña is the Los Moriscos golf club (it is 10 to 15 minutes drive). For further information visit there website; http://www.moriscosgolf.com/

The distance in driving time from the nearest cities are c.a. as follows:
Granada - 40 min.
Malaga - 70 min.
Almería - 70 min.
(Difference in traffic can of course have effect on driving time)

The town is also built along the Salobreña beach
